Myroslava Makarevych

This was a story about two trees that fall in love. I generally, it was a little difficult to read to children bc the wording is a bit choppy. I didn’t reflect that in the rating though bc I understand how Ukrainian and Russian sentence structure differs from English and I assumed it was just conflicts in translation. Parts of it were harsh (trees being murdered while screaming for mercy) but I’ve found this to be culturally normal for such tales. Life is tough. Bad stuff happens. What matters is how you overcome it.
