Zach Marcus

An almost decent tie-in to an almost decent TV show I recently binged. My favorite thing about the show is the theme song, which, y'know, this book didn't have going in its favor right off the bat.

In a fairly typical set-up, Pony Head is in trouble because of her obnoxious behavior and needs Star Butterfly and Marco Diaz to help her out of a tight spot. A quest begins, but two of the first three stops end up being entirely pointless to the larger story. Regardless, the art and character voices are pretty spot-on to the show.

The biggest problem is that the book ends with "To be continued . . . " but the comic book series it collects was canceled after the four issues collected here, so there may never be a resolution to the story.… (meer)
