A workmanlike accounting of a "famous victory," save that our knowledge of what the participants were thinking seems to be really limited; this is particularly the case from the perspective of the Royalist camp. Still, this seems to be about the most recent substantive account of the battle available.

a clear and concise analysis of the 1918 German offensive. It only lacked a few more maps of the allied counter offensive, and prehapes some more concluding notes. very informative.

Text very readable, but coverage of so many battles needed many more Maps with much better Key to When, Where, Who, What etc.
