Throughout this book, Constance Markey shows Calvino’s influences and ideas. The major movement that he was part of emulated the works of certain American writers of the early 20th century. Mark Twain, William Faulkner, William Saroyan, Ernest Hemingway; each of them influences.
All in all the book was interesting. Off the top of my head, I still don’t know what postmodernism is, but the book did an admirable job of demonstrating how Calvino developed his craft.… (meer)
