Michael Dane lands in jail for burglary and ID fraud. While there he learns his deaf father has died, and Michael is the sole heir of land worth millions outside Boulder, Colorado.

Michael left home many years ago, after his mother’s death and he swore not to return to the father that beat him. But when he is released on bail he goes back and discovers his father's death was no accident. He has two choices - solve his father's murder or become a fugitive.

Well-written with engaging characters and an intriguing story.

I found this book lost in my kindle cloud for the past eight years, I wish I had read it sooner. It is excellent. Included was a preview of book 2 - Sons of Silence. Unfortunately, I can’t find it and I am sad as I enjoyed the story and the writing.

Despite how many of us once had a great passion for the Lord, but due to the circumstances we’ve had to face, our passion has withered and we’ve gone astray.

ISAIAH 53:6 [ESV] states:

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Now that those of you who have realize what has transpired and might wish to rejoin His flock and once again recoup the fervent passion you once had in your relationship with the Lord, are in all probability seeking some guidance and leadership so you can once again be filled with the Holy Spirit’s fervor and enthusiasm.

Understanding there are scores of individuals like those I’ve just mentioned, author David Lee Martin was driven to write this book with the knowledge he possesses and the guidance of the Lord. With this in mind, Mr. Martin gives his readers a simple, clear and spiritual route to follow so they can renew their lifelong red-hot commitment to the Lord. And he accomplishes this by sharing the transformational intuitions he’s gathered through his 25-year experiences as a pastor, emanating from the heart of a true believer in Lord and His son Jesus Christ.

Mr. Martin through the pages of this book wants his readers to ignite the passion, love, and commitment they’ve already got inside themselves towards the Lord and become part of his warrior flock and spread the word of His greatness to others.

So, if you’re desiring to no longer be just a wallflower Christian in His eyes, you should get a copy of this book, and activate the real Christian you’ve got inside you.

For wanting this fervent transformation to occur in those who read this book, I’ve given Mr. Martin the ranking he’s received from this reviewer of Christian books.

There should be no question that those reading this truly love the Lord. And I believe we sum up our passion for the Lord by reading Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s Sonnet #43:

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise…

And although this might be the case for all of us, some of us are actuality lacking in the closest of our relationship with the Lord. While all of us pray to Him nearly every day, could we be missing a more meaningful level when we do? This is perhaps why some of us might still feel unsatisfied and pleased with ourselves once we’re finished praying for the day. There are many ways for us to pray to our Lord, personally I like the manner that’s described in MATTHEW 6:6 [ESV]

“But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”

What Pastor Martin does in this book is to take his readers, both newcomers and seasoned soldiers of the Lord, and guides them by the hand in learning how to pray anew. A newer way of praying that will allow them to be reborn without the baggage that has prevented them from totally experiencing the Lord’s greatest in themselves and their lives, through prayers.

For wanting to uplift all of his readers to a higher and closer relationship with the Lord I’ve given Pastor David Lee Martin the 5 STARS he so richly deserves.

Far too often when we look at love of one’s self, we see what amounts to be a flaw in someone’s personality, a flaw which is regarded by many as being a vanity or selfishness, arrogance, egotism, etc. Yet, at the same time there’s a certain consciousness of one’s own mental health which encourages self-love.

And when we look at biblical scripture, we come to the realization of self-love as being a good thing especially when we consider:

MARK 12:30-31 [ESV - English Standard Version]
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

For if you can’t even love yourself, there’s no way you can actually show any kind of love to anyone else. And this is what the author of this book, David Lee Martin, is attempting to communicate to his readers in this quick read of a book [but read it slowly], is the myriads of ways the Lord himself, and through His Bible and scriptures wants and has to say about us loving the remarkable and affectionate individuals we truly are inside.

For wanting to transform his readers from being possibly naïve about the entire concept of what self-love is all about to accepting it with their hearts and souls as the Good Book is telling them to do, I’m delighted to give Mr. Martin the 5 STARS he’s getting from this reviewer of Christian books.
