Tuesday, September 24, 6:30 PM Greenlight Young Readers Book Group discusses A mango-shaped space

Led by Greenlight bookseller and former teacher Brette, this book group is geared toward kids ages 8 to 14, and reads great contemporary and classic chapter books. Parents are welcome (but not required) to attend; pizza is served. For September, the book group discusses A mango-shaped space by award-winning and bestselling author Wendy Mass. The novel’s protagonist Mia Winchell has synesthesia, the mingling of perceptions whereby a person can see sounds, smell colors, or taste shapes. Forced to reveal her condition, she must look to herself to develop an understanding and appreciation of her gift in this coming-of-age story.
