Billionaire CEO Nic Price is a no-nonsense kind of guy, at work and at home. So when the new live-in manny, Sasha, brings more than his share of nonsense into the house. The kids appreciate it, but Nic could do without it. Except there's something about Sasha that grabs Nic's eye. Though neither believe in workplace romances--Sasha, especially, based on his past--sometimes chemistry is just too explosive to deny.

This is a totally adorable story that I could find myself reading again, especially around the holiday. The characters are just too cute in how they act, interact, etc. A good read.… (meer)

To say that I enjoyed following Valerie and Kade through this story doesn't even begin to cover it. I believe it's more accurate to say that I utterly devoured every single page of this book. What really impressed me was the solid plot that Angela McCallister builds in Bad Mouth. We are introduced to a world where vampires and humans live in close quarters. Rules and consequences on each side are all that keep war from breaking out. The hierarchy and background of this vampire race was very well done, and I ate it up.

Enter Valerie Craig, a human who believes in justice and truth. She is firm in her belief that all vampires are loathsome. That is, until she meets Kade Rollins and things change. As they should, because Kade is the perfect mix of sex appeal and male dominance. Looking for a male lead who makes you want to smack him and kiss him breathless in equal measures? Welcome to your story.

Which is why the chemistry between Val and Kade is so electric. The moment these two are in the same room, sparks fly. Watching them try to figure out how to get around their deep seeded misconceptions was sweet without being campy. It's not surprise that they don't hit it off right away, but when they do watch out! The sex scenes in this book are delicious and, in my opinion, perfectly written for these characters. Caution: the pages may sizzle a bit.

The one thing that was a miss for me was Val's character. Despite McCallister trying to give her a tough girl persona, she really comes across as a wilting flower. I don't hate her for it, especially because Kade is such an alpha male. I just wished I was able to learn more about her. That being said, I'd absolutely follow these characters into another book. Yup, I'm that hooked!

So if you're a fan of romance, especially the paranormal sort, with swoon-worthy (and slightly bad-mouthed) male leads, this is a book for you. Pick up a copy of Bad Mouth and prepare to do some blushing.

So I am *slightly* behind on posting a Christmas book review, but the holidays are a whirlwind so I am going to assume you will all forgive me and read this review anyway because this is a story you NEED to know about.

Nic is kind of everything I love in a man. He is decisive, bright, controlled… and in desperate need of someone to lighten him up. Let’s not forget the fact he is moderately broken (my absolutely favorite type of man) thanks to aloof and manipulative parents, but those two are TRULY not worth even discussing because it will just get me too mad. And there is plenty to gush about with Nic and Sasha.

Oh Sasha. He is so much of me it hurts. He takes on the responsibility of the world and leaves nothing for himself. He is happiest when those around him are happy. And he doesn’t at all feel like displaying anything other than a fun, playful demeanor is allowed. In his mind it isn’t okay to show the burdens and pain he is dealing with and, instead, he simply stuffs it all down and manages on his own. Even when it sends him to bed with a migraine.

Yeah, basically Nic and Sasha were meant to fulfill each other’s needs.

But, of course, just when things get so good my heart aches from the happiness of it all… the rug is pulled out from under your feet. I have to admit that when Sasha was brought to his knees by the pain and loss, I was right there with him. Nic had a deeeeeeeeeep pit to claw his way out of in my eyes.

Now, the question is… did he manage to do it?
