I bought this for my husband as we share a love of exploring our own backyard i.e. New Zealand. I read it to discover areas we hadn't explored to find places off the beaten track. Last year I read the North Island section and last week I read the South Island. It is a fun light-hearted read which identifies the quirky, hidden gems in communities and I am sure the best pie and pizza stops. It has definitely given me a yearning to head back down south and I would be sure to take this book along with me.… (meer)
