Dr. Gary D. McKay

I was looking forward to reading a good detective and really enjoyed reading "A shortage of Bodies". Dr. McKay found the good balance between suspense, psychological insights and basic police work. All the characters he presents are believable and their actions, if not already obvious, are satisfactory explained by the writer.

The only thing that bothered me was the shifting of the narrator. Sometimes it was unclear who was talking, whose insights were being presented. This made the reading much slower than usual for me. Nevertheless every time I sat down to read I was very quickly back in Arizona, rooting for Ian and dr. Meyer to get to the bottom of things.

The ending didn't disappoint either. All in all a pleasant mystery novel.… (meer)
