Fabulous coverage of New Zealand's history from it's origins as an unstable land, mountain building, landforms, flora and fauna, Te Ao Maori, voyaging and colonisation, the New Zealand Wars, raupatu, the colonial government, the butter and cheese industry and right through to 1991. This is an incredibly useful resource for anyone studying the history of Aotearoa. Highly recommended.
A useful addition to the canon of the Spanish Civil War. A collection of individual mini biographies of the Republican, and two Nationalist, volunteers from New Zealand. The book is in three main sections - combatants, non-combatants (mainly medical staff) and a final section of essays on the political and social effect on the home front.
