The only thing consistent in this series is the amazing, full color artwork and the explicit sex. And if that is all you wanted from the series, then this book is worth buying. Sadly, the clever story promised in the first chapter has never been continued. This book is also short like Chapter 2, but even worse, it has the exact same story. There's lots of sex, the police guy and his girlfriend confront Kristina and she is once again foiled by being shot (this has been the case in all three books) and her coven of supposedly much weaker vampires must save her. She ends up in bandages, in her coffin, again. WHAT A HUGE LET DOWN. Even the sex was a disappointment as every scene is an orgy - of mostly women.

I understand this is an erotic comic - that doesn't mean a little storyline wouldn't make it better, especially when it was set up so well in the first book. Chapters 2 and 3 could be completely interchangeable as they are. I agree with another reviewer that maybe switching viewpoints to the male coven leader would help. Or, actually have her go live with the coven and see what happens.

I do not know if this is the final chapter. If it is not, I'll probably give this series one more shot and buy the next chapter hoping the artist/author gets some inspiration. Overall, this is still the best erotic comic series I have ever seen - too bad the author appears to have lost the magic he had in Chapter 1.

The art was once again excellent. Mensink uses vibrant colors, the proportions were spot on and the people didn't look cartoonish. The sex was hot and explicitly rendered, as in the first installment. However, this "novel" is shorter and the story was a disappointing follow-up to chapter one.

Chapter one ended with another vampire Lord becoming aware of Kristina's presence and wanting her as their queen because she's so strong. She does visit them, and an orgy ensues. But yet, she was quickly foiled again by the female DA and ended up wounded again exactly as in chapter one! If she's so powerful why shouldn't she come out ahead this time? And how has the coven survived so long when they're supposedly so much weaker than her?

Sure, I realize this is "just" an adult comic, but that doesn't mean the story can't be as good as in part 1. Another thing I didn't care for was the increased amount of F/F action than in the first book. That just isn't my cup of tea (though others may enjoy it), and the first book was almost exclusively hetero with some menage. I will certainly buy chapter 3 when it's finally released, but I hope it follows through on the promise of chapter 1.

This is an awesome graphic novel. But, be warned--it is EXPLICIT!! Sex scenes are FULLY illustrated, and frequent.

The story is very good, for what it is. Kristina was killed by a mob after murdering many local peasants. She is staked and buried. In the future, a criminal is stabbed to death over her grave and his blood returns her to life. She sets out to enthrall humans, while still keeping a low profile to avoid the same fate. But, when she tried to ensnare a cop, his DA girlfriend goes after Kristina with a vengeance! The ending definitely leaves room for continuation in Chapter 2.

The story was good, but the art was excellent. The proportions were well done (though all the breasts are huge, of course), and the colors vibrant. This is the first adult graphic novel I read (not counting yaoi) and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the publications. Beautiful perfect bound edition, glossy cover and pages, and full-color throughout. If you like vampires, and some hot action, don't pass this up.
