In simple and concise language this tale tells the story of how one guinea pig saves the dandelion from . In the process very young children (under five years old) learn about plant growth, agriculture and the danger of extinction through over- consumption. Those are heavy duty issues to put on the plate of a three to five year old. Is it necessary to start that young? How about first getting into the miracle of the seed metamorphosing into a beautiful flower or food you can eat. If the author is aiming at slightly older 6- 8 years old) kids then the language needs to address those kids and be less patronizing.
The illustrations supported the text very well

Tabitha has a loose tooth that stubbornly won't come out. Wanting a visit from the Tooth Fairy causes her to engage in the ever so graceful art of trying to pull her own tooth. She tries dancing, jumping on a trampoline, tying string to her tooth, a Venus flytrap, and bubblegum. When she finally stops trying, Tabitha sneezes and out pops her tooth!
This is a cute and simple book that all children can easily relate to. It was always fun and exciting to lose a tooth when I was a kid. This book could show a child who is anxious about losing a tooth that it's a normal part of growing up and can be fun to await a visit from the Tooth Fairy.
I also believe children would love the creative ways Tabitha tries to lose her tooth, and would motivate them to use their own imaginations to brainstorm other ways they could/have pulled a tooth.

I found this book very simple, but useful for relating to kids experiences. It was a clever, charming book that explores the art of tooth pulling. Tabitha's tooth is loose and she is excited to get a visit from the tooth fairy. This is a fun story and is great to read aloud with the children in early elementary school. The topic of teeth is a familiar one and the narrative and illustrations are simple and engaging enough to keep the attention of even young children. I would use this book as a prompt for my own students writing. This brings the everyday issue of kids getting made fun of because of their front teeth missing.… (meer)
