Wow, what a phenomenal book! I'd had my curiosity piqued about polymer clay when I watched a YouTube video and saw what someone had made. She recommended this book, and I was completely blown away! I read it front to back in one sitting, then rushed over to my local craft store and purchased all the supplies I'd need to make my own tiles, which I plan to turn into pendants. I'm beyond inspired, and extremely enthusiastic about learning a new skill!
There is nothing more irritating than wanting to try something, getting it right - and then having it fall apart on you.
This is one of the books that helps avoid the last step.
It suggests a few materials that are not commonly available where I live, but substitutions were possible, and the techniques explained more than made up for it. A lot of the information here can be re-used in other projects and crafts.
4 Stars - Some very useful information gathered in the one place
Leans more towards the spiritual significance of mosaics than the practical applications needed to create them, although there are projects with reasonably good step-by-step instructions. I recommend using it in conjunction with, or as a follow-up to Making Polymer Clay Beads by Carol Blackburn.
