This book is part of a series of books on various world countries designed to give overviews of countries to younger readers. This particular volume is very heavy on the history of the country and very light on the culture of the country, which was surprising to me, given its intended audience. I also thought that there would be more about some of the country's traditions than there were. While I'm certain that I'm comparing this volume to similar works I read 35 to 40 years ago, this volume is coming up short in reader engagement.
