Korte biografie
About Amy Clarke Moore Born in 1969 in Boulder, Colorado--the daughter of a professor of language acquisition and a watercolor artist--Amy grew up in a nurturing environment of literature and visual arts. Her work is born out of a passionate interest in fairytales, myths, and art. Amy started beading in 1998 to complete a staff project for Beadwork magazine, and she was hooked from that moment on. She enjoys the process of stitching the beads to cloth. Each bead is like a thought, and the spiral path of her beadwork is like the passage of time, with each moment building on the next until an image emerges. She earned her B.A. from Cornell College in Iowa in 1991, majoring in Spanish, Latin American Studies, and Art. In 1997 she earned her M.F.A. in Fibers from Colorado State University's Art department. She wrote Beaded Embellishment: Techniques and Designs for Embroidering on Cloth with Robin Atkins, which was published by Interweave Press in 2002. In 2009, she compiled the All New Homespun, Handknit. In 2013, she was the editor of the compiled works of knitting patterns, Knitting Wizardry and in 2014 she was the editor of The Best of Jane Austen Knits. Amy worked at Interweave Press in Loveland, Colorado from 1997-2014. She was the editor of Spin-Off, Jane Austen Knits, The Unofficial Harry Potter Knits, Knit & Spin, and Interweave Felt among other things. She left Interweave in January 2014 to pursue a new career in Montessori education. Happily married in 2004, she changed her name from Amy C. Clarke to Amy Clarke Moore. She and her husband have two children.

Quick glance Review - Lovely collection. Good attention to mood creation. Note- This book is not to create screen accurate costumes, but to invoke the mood of the books and movies. There are some patterns here for beginners, but a lot of it is for the intermediate and advanced knitter. Can't wait to try to knit some of these patterns.

A lovely book, with enticing patterns, techniques explained, and beautiful photographs. I'm going to start with the multi-colored triangle-laden coin purse!
