2021 movie #148. 2012. Ralph is a video game character bad guy. In the video game arcade, the characters of different games are free to mingle through the power cords. Ralph goes off looking to be a hero. Great film full of atrocious puns and great visual gags. Loved it.
This was very good! Knowing going in it would be unreasonable to expect it to match the original (and it didn't), Ralph Breaks The Internet is nevertheless a solid, fun film in its own right, which in my opinion only stumbles a bit in a rather dull/overlong action sequence towards its very end. The film's several notches better than most non-sequel animated films, and in my opinion also rather clearly superior to Disney's more high profile 2019 sequel, Frozen 2 (which wasn't exactly bad, to be fair, but unfortunately bland and directionless)… (meer)

It's better than I expected it to be, with good gags and some surprisingly disturbing imagery. It's built almost entirely out of references and parody, and will probably be too dated to make sense in about five minutes from now.
