I cried. This book is so lovely.

A little boy who spend a lot of time in libraries growing up becomes a librarian himself. I like that it was a boy that grew up to be a librarian -- nice modeling that boys can love books and enter service professions.

I LOVE this book. I feel that I can't say that enough. It shows the relationship between Melvin and the librarians at his local library. They not only help him with school projects, homework, etc. they also become his friends. I actually teared up a little at the sweet ending. Definitely a new favorite.

I love this book for helping kids see how libraries can be used throughout their lives.
