Man plays as an old man in an online game that helps new players.
Excellent and deep emotion descriptions. Also funny and gives you something to think about. Very good.

Imaginative, depressing, it’s

Weird. It’s weird. Not for the faint of heart. Some of the imagery is...disturbing.

It’s also difficult to read. Some parts don’t flow naturally. That actually worked within the confines of the novel. A bit heavy on the introspection, but again completely in line with the plot and character.
Then there would be a line that rang with truth.

I both liked it and have no intention of ever trying to read it again.

If you like bizarre juxtaposition and fatalistic protagonists, this is the book for you.… (meer)

It starts "2 years from now" which is confusing. Does it mean 2 years from the reader's present day, or 2 years forward in the story? Because the latter doesn't make sense without having a present time established.
This confusion is compounded when it jumps 8 years into the past. Is that 8 years from a present we never saw? Or 6 years because they were already 2 ahead?
Unclear and confusing so I'm just going to drop it.
