- Korte biografie
- Natasha Illum Berg was born in Sweden to Swedish and Danish parents, and now lives in Tanzania. She is an internationally acclaimed writer, and yet is also a professional hunter in East Africa and the first woman member of the African Professional Hunters Association A.P.H.A.
Her first novel, Floder af rød jord (Rivers of Red Earth) was about the journey of becoming East Africa’s only female licensed professional hunter. It is also about what drives a hunter to pull the trigger and what it is like to live in a tent in the middle of nowhere and fall asleep to the sound of roaring lions. The book was written in Danish, but was published in several languages.
Her critically acclaimed memoir, Tea on the Blue Sofa was an autobiographical love letter to the man she loved who was murdered outside her home in East Africa. The book was written in English, but is published in several languages.
Since then, Natasha has written a collection of short stories and two other novels. She currently spends half her year writing, and the other half as a hunter.
