All of the Max Axiom comics are exciting and a great way to encourage younger readers to learn about science! With the graphic novel/comic book style, readers will be engaged and will want to read more. The science facts included in the books are explained clearly and encourage students to further research the topics.

A team of elementary school kids from room 15 use stunning detective work to figure out who has been stealing snacks from the kitchen. Navigating in a new school full of new friends and bullies is hard for Myron, but he is able to crack the case with the help of his classmates in room 15.

The artwork was good and the story a basic tale about bullying and the consequences thereof. I thought that this was a more realistic view of bullying than children books tend to convey. I thought that the interruption of the text to show how tricks were done was interesting. I'm not certain if it was effective, but it didn't seem to interrupt it too terribly much.

If I were a kid who actually enjoyed skateboarding I'm certain I would have loved this text, seeing how for once the skaters weren't demonized, etc. So, a good kid's book overall.… (meer)

Goofy, zany, and utterly original. I can honestly say I've never read a book with such a fantastic combination of monsters, detective work, libraries and archives, mythology, and robots. With the strong graphic element, this book has feet planted in both the text and graphic novel worlds. And it's fantastically odd and entertaining.
