This is a lullaby book that is similar to "hush little baby, don't say a word". I read the book with the tune of the song. The dad is singing to his son while he is on the sandbox. In the last page, the father and son are back in the sandbox. I love how this book can enhance one's imagination. Throughout the song, the father and son are on an adventure with dump trucks, pavers, bulldozers, etc. And at the end, the father tells him "you'll still be the best little digger around." This was a heart-warming line that can show how much the dad loves his son if everything the song mentions, fails.… (meer)
