A lovely and original por-quoi tale.  Possibly too pretty for some children, and even prettier inside than on the cover.  But the theme of the two sisters vying for time to be awake is classic.  (But where are Summer and Autumn?)  My quibble is that it's focused entirely on temperate Northern climates and on Caucasian characters.  Maybe the creators could do a companion with the other two seasons and a different setting.... 

longer tale of how robin gets red breast, bear and skunk hibernate, etc. with a good plot that moves forward; lovely illustrations that greatly lighten the tone of the Lady Winter (she could be evil with darker illustrations for the same text).
