- Frank Pakenham met his future wife, Elizabeth Harman, at Oxford, where he graduated with a First in Modern Greats.
Once a Conservative, he became a socialist. He and Elizabeth eventually had 8 children and the whole family converted to the Roman Catholic faith. He had a noted political career, including a Cabinet Ministry, but gained a reputation as an eccentric through his efforts to rehabilitate criminals and enact prison reform. - Ontwarringsbericht
