Arthur N. Palmer

I find this book very clear and thorough on all the geological issues that affect caves. The author has included both photos and diagrams to back up the text, but also some very stunning photos of caves. Everything seems well documented. A 24 page reference section contains approximately 1000 references for anyone whating to dig deeper. There is also a glossary for those new to caves and geology.

Because this is a geology book, the book treats topics in order rather than geographic regions in order, and this is as it should be. The ample index will allow anyone to find a particular place or topic or cave easily, if not in the table of contents.… (meer)
