I think I was looking for a proper set of words to "Over the Hill and Far away", since i knew that the ones in the opening credits in the "Sharpe" TV series weren't quite right. They aren't, BTW. But the other songs and writings make this a good dip into British Military life from 1750 to 1900. If you are looking for epigraphs and the like, it's a handy collection.
