Helen Scales, PhD, is a marine biologist, writer, and public broadcaster. She is the author of Spirals in Time and Eye of the Shoal, and the children's book What a Shell Can Tell. She writes for National Geographic, The Guardian, New Scientist, and BBC Wildlife Magazine, among others, She teaches toon meer at Cambridge University and advises the marine conservation charity Sea Changers. Emma Sweeney - Korte biografie
- Dr. Helen Scales is a marine biologist and scuba diver who received her Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge. She is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and has lived in various countries, conducting research on rare coral reef fish and working for a number of conservation organizations. She is a presenter on BBC radio shows The Naked Scientists and Home Planet, writes regularly for the National Geographic Web site, and has published scientific studies on the trade in endangered wildlife.
