> Même si les développements sont quelquefois longs et répétitifs, Catherine Ponder aborde mieux que tous les autres l'ensemble des paramètres sur la prospérité. Je le recommande !

Catherine Ponder is one of the great spiritual writers of our time. As far as I know, she is still alive now in 2020 (age 93).

She tells us that we have healing power and provides us with innumerable accounts of people in all walks of life who have healed themselves with affirmative prayer.

It is our habitual “wrong thoughts, deep hates, secret resentments, and strong prejudices” that play havoc with our health.

Denial is the first law of healing. We must use our “no” power to dissolve negative beliefs and emotions. Before our problems can be resolved, there must be a mental and emotional housecleaning.

We should say “no, no, no” to pain or other problems.

Silence is one of the greatest denials of all. Keep quiet about your problems, stop complaining. “Silence is your denial of apparent evil.”

Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount “Let your speech be yea, yea (affirmations) and nay, nay (denial).”

The up-and-down stroke of the cross means that “nothing has evil power”. The right-and-left stroke of the cross means that “the good now reigns”. If you want life’s blessings you must cross out the belief in evil.

Here are a couple of Catherine’s suggestions for denial of evil:

“There is no evil. Nothing is evil which brings forth good, and only good shall come from this.”

“There is nothing to fear. There is no power to hurt. Anything in my life that needs to be changed can be changed.”

We can invoke the “surprise” law of healing, which is the law of forgiveness.

Where there is a health problem, there is a forgiveness problem. We must forgive if we want to be permanently healed.

“I forgive everything and everybody who can possibly need forgiveness in my past and present. I am free and they are free.”

You also need to forgive yourself.

The emotional cause of your health problems can be “possessiveness and strong attachment to or by some person, situation or condition in your life”. You therefore must emotionally release (or gain release from) that person, situation or condition in order to bring healing to your own mind, body and affairs.

Your words of release can also cause others to subconsciously release you.

All civilizations have known and taught that your word is your power. Every word you speak is recorded in your body.

Myrtle Fillmore healed herself of tuberculosis which was then (in 1886) incurable. She talked to all the life centres (chakras?) in her body and spoke words of Truth to them – “words of strength and power”. She kept on until the organs responded and her health improved.

The author, Catherine Ponder, had bad health since childhood but through daily affirmations her health began to improve. A major health problem that her doctor had said would require major surgery disappeared.

There are further chapters, on the healing law of praise (what you praise you increase), the healing law of love, the miracle law of healing, the imaging law of healing and the mystical law of healing. “Speaking the Name ‘Jesus Christ’ sets up a mighty vibration that releases miracle power.”

Also, using affirmations containing the words “I AM” has a dynamic force.

“I AM Health, Strength, Peace, Happiness, and Prosperity.”

“I AM the radiant child of God, I AM. I AM, I AM.”

There is also a chapter about chemicalization, which is a healing process. This is when your problems seem to get worse, sometimes much worse, just before they disappear.

Chemicalization is a sign that cleansing is taking place.

I found this to be an exceedingly inspiring book filled with encouraging and miraculous success stories.

The book is from the middle of the 2oth Century, but it is still absolutely relevant and helpful. I highly recommend that you read it. It will greatly inspire you and increase your faith that you can be healed/heal yourself.

I have re-read this book and think it deserves a new review.

We learn about the power of divine love. If we repeat appropriate affirmations abut divine love many times, miracles happen.

I am using the following:

’’Divine Love is healing me now.’’

’’Divine Love is doing its perfect work in this situation now.’’

There is also:

’’Divine Love prospers me now.’’

We are given innumerable case stories, relating how affirmations about Divine Love healed various dire situations.

The author provides us with inspiring quotes by Emma Curtis Hopkins, Charles Fillmore and Emmet Fox.

She tells us of the healing power of release and how we can heal others by means of the following affirmation:

’’I release you now to your highest good. I love you but I release you now to complete freedom and complete health in whatever way is best. I am free and you are free.’’

Forgiveness is a very important type of release and a most important form of love.

Catherine also informs us that when people bother us in any way, it is because their souls are trying to get our divine attention, and our blessings. When we give them that, they no longer bother us.

She quotes Charles Fillmore as telling us that whatever our problem we should bless it somewhat like this: ’’I now release you and bless you. Divine Love is adjusting my life and its problems. Realizing this, I abide in peace.’’

She tells us that the following statement has helped lift her out of limitations many times over the years: “Christ in me now frees me from all limitation. I am the resurrection and the life.”

Praise is one of the strongest forms of love. Praise expands your good.

Also, declare often for any troubling situations: “I appraise this situation as good.”

Important chapters in the book tell us of the method of writing to the angel of a person who is troubling us.

There is a special power in written words and we are given accounts of cases in which this angel-writing method has performed miracles.

We can also write to our Prosperity Angel or Health Angel. Though I admit I feel it is not really clear what is meant, because Catherine also states that we can write to the Angel of Health or the Angel of Prosperity.

We can also write to the Angel of Protection, the Angel of Love and Marriage, the Angel of Harmony and Happiness, the Angel of Wisdom and Guidance, the Angel of Prosperity and Wealth, or the Angel of Spiritual Growth and Understanding. Or there may be an Angel of Prosperity and an Angel of Wealth according to one account.

Please note that you may have to write several, or even many, letters to the Angel or Angels you choose.

It may be necessary, too, to write to the Angel of Release.
I have begun to write to various angels myself, and trust there soon will be results.

I highly recommend that you purchase this inspiring work. Catherine Ponder s books will never be outdated and will thus always be useful.

Catherine Ponder is one of my favourite authors. She was born in 1927 and her first books were published in the 1960s. As far as I am aware, she is still alive.

She tells us that we should desire prosperity – it is not unspiritual to be prosperous. In fact, poverty is a sin, a form of disease.

Prosperity is our divine heritage and “success is divinely ordained”.

Catherine informs us that the Bible is “the greatest textbook on prosperity ever written”.

One woman, whenever she had a financial need, had great success when thinking on these words: “Be still and know that I am God at work in this situation now”.

Another useful prayer is “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.”

We must consistently think of God as the Source of our supply. One saleswoman whose sales had fallen off began to affirm over and over from the Lord’s Prayer “Give me this day my daily bread”, whereafter her sales increased tremendously and neighbours brought her dishes of food as a token of their esteem, and friends invited her to dinner.

Catherine tells us of her own extreme financial difficulties when widowed and with an infant son, and how she learnt that her potential wealth, health and happiness were actually within herself. She was led to become a minister in order to help others to “realize and apply the spiritual and mental keys to healthy --- prosperous living”.

We learn about the vacuum law of prosperity: if you want great good, greater prosperity in your life, start forming a vacuum to receive it, In other words, get rid of what you don’t want to make room for what you do want.

She recounts the story of a man who was very ill and who, remembering the vacuum law, realized he needed to release a strong grudge against a certain person. He began to declare over and over: “I fully and freely forgive you, I loose and let you go.” A feeling of peace came over him, he slept peacefully and the next morning his fever was gone; he was on the road to recovery.

She provides us with a forgiveness technique by which to form a vacuum, Sit for half an hour every day and mentally forgive everyone that you are out of harmony with or feel badly about.

Instead of making a lot of New Year resolutions, write a letter to God listing all your desires for the New Year. But you must be honest and express your really deep feelings, otherwise it will not work.

Catherine writes about “the imaging law of prosperity”. By “imaging” she means what we
today mostly call “visualizing”.

We are informed of how Napoleon used the imaging law by keeping a huge map before him with coloured flags indicating the various moves he planned for his armies to take, months in advance. He even used the prosperity techniques of writing down his desires and plans. But he met his Waterloo because “he in a great measure used destructively the very techniques that are so powerful for good when used in a positive manner”.

There’s a chapter dealing with the prosperity law of command, which is a positive assertion of the good we wish to experience.

Catherine quotes the Bible, as she often does. “Thou shalt decree a thing and it shall be established unto thee and light shall shine upon thy ways.” (Job 22:28)

The power of words is immense. We must cease using negative phrases such as “I’d give my right arm if I could ---“ and “I’m going to turn a deaf ear to that”.

Affirmations are a form of command. We are provided with many powerful ones, for example, “Everything and everybody prospers me now and I prosper everything and everybody now.” And, “Divine order is now established and maintained. Harmony reigns supreme.”

She gives us a chapter dealing with the prosperity law of persistence. We mustn’t surrender to defeat and must refuse “No” as an answer.

“It is my divine destiny to succeed, and it is God’s business to help me. I expect and claim His divine help now.”

We are told that for every problem there is a way out.

“There is a divine solution to this situation.” “The divine solution now quickly and easily appears. I am now guided, healed, prospered and blessed.”

The book is filled with numerous suggestions about how to prosper. Chapters include “The prosperity law of prayer”, “The prosperity law of self-confidence”, “Your genius powers for prosperity”, “What about indebtedness?” and “Health and prosperous thinking”.

Catherine had her heyday in the middle of the 20th Century and the book is written in her characteristic style, which may seem old-fashioned. It is filled with inspirational stories from her own life and those of her clients and also with innumerable biblical quotes, which may be off-putting to some. I greatly appreciate them though I am not myself religious.

Catherine’s books are never out-of-date in the sense that they will always motivate and inspire, and I recommend that you read this book too if you desire to attract prosperity and abundance.
