This is one of a set of three books dealing with Nature. The wind is described in all its glory showing all the various things it does. From producing energy, assisting with transportation, showing various weather patterns and just having fun with it (blowing bubbles, flying kites) the little boy in the story shares his experiences with the reader. The illustrations are cute and the way the wind is depicted in the story with faces and expressions is adorable. Using this book to open a unit on weather and wind would be very enjoyable for students as well as just a read aloud with parents and their children.

A fun, rhyming book that encourages kids to use all of their senses. I love that this book highlights all of the benefits of wind from wind as an energy source, to weather patterns, transportation and pure enjoyment. Imaginative illustrations bring the wind to life as the text encourages kids to observe and enjoy this part of nature. A great book for kids ages 3-5 that will stir their senses and awaken their appreciation of nature.
