As a guide to helping people prepare for or repair their already existing marriage, this is... okay. It's not the most helpful guide to people who have common sense about how a relationship should work. Don't take each other for granted, take care of yourself, don't use accusatory speech, etc. These are all things that we both learned through peer mediation classes in middle and high school and which most people should probably already know before they choose to tie the knot.

I would recommend this for those who are young or those who simply want something to work on together as they lead up to their marriage, or when the marriage isn't quite as healthy as it once was. Otherwise, the tips all seem fairly common-sense and we found them largely unnecessary.… (meer)
