Blake Roland

Andre is in town for his friends wedding, and he meets Grayson from what he thinks is a hook up app. There is some miscommunication, but the guys end up helping each other out. Grayson needs money for his sister's medical care, and Andre needs a date for the wedding. I really liked Grayson's character, and really felt for him as he dealt with a lot of stuff going on in his life. Andre was a sweet guy as well, but I felt like there was too much emphasis put on his money, especially at the end. The ending and their love for each other seemed really rushed. Don't get me wrong, I totally believe that two people and fall in love quickly, but after one week, a lot of drama, and a quick I love you in the airport before he's supposed to go home, Andre is quitting his big job far away and moving to Hidden Creek. I feel like there should've been a little more discussion about it or planning for how it could actually work. I'm sure the characters had it off page, but I just felt more like a rush rather than something sustainable. I hope I get to see them in more books later so I can see how they have made it work.

Dalton and Thomas came from feuding families. There was a lot of history between them, and Thomas would've been glad to never see Dalton again. When circumstances change, however, Dalton and Thomas find they have a lot more in common than they think and they really enjoy spending time together. These guys were really sweet together and were a little bit swoon-worthy. It was so nice to see Dalton open himself up and find his happiness, and it was great to see Thomas realize that being home wasn't as awful as he thought it would be. Thomas was such a patient and great character, and Dalton was a perfect match for him. This was a great addition to the Hidden Creek universe.

Wow. There's so much in this. We have someone so deep in the closet he's dug down into the cellar. We have memories of bullying. We have some current bullying. We have a long standing family feud. We have enemies to lovers. Pretty much, if you like a particular trope, you can probably find it in here. But, it's not crowded or anything. It really worked out.

Thomas has gone through so much. And Dalton, poor guy. He's had to hide so much. I really liked it when they each had their eye-opening moment and paradigm shift.

This was really just a great story.… (meer)
