Oh my, this was just perfect for the season. Sweet without being cloying. A sprinkling of a Pretty Woman vibe. A visit to the Barista Boys coffee shop. Fake boyfriends tropey goodness.
Great writing and perfect (I mean spot on) pacing means there is nothing that jars you out of this story. It' s got all the elements of a perfect Christmas story: a good Samaritan, snow, eggnog, and a glorious kiss.

This is my first Barista Boys, and I was able to enjoy the story as a standalone, so that’s good news for those who are in my same situation.
Now, on the story: we have Connor and Ash, two very different guys except in one point: they are both deeply damaged. The heavy baggage they bring from their pasts is the main obstacle between them, because they are both too closed off, too afraid to trust. And yet… the connection between these two characters is so evident. And they have their friends to help them to see what they have in each other.
The characters are excellent, all of them (I’m planning on pamper myself with the previous books in this series), and the writer manages to make you fall in love with them.
The writing is amazing, compelling, and talks right to your heart, making the book a joy to read (yes, even through the heart-breaking parts). This story is, simply put, beautiful.… (meer)

This one is, hands down, the best book in a particularly good series.
Bernie is the kind of character that will steal your heart from the beginning, and here we finally discover what's the motivation behind his drive to help all those lost boys we have known in the previous books.
And his and Jared journey to happiness is a thing of beauty. You'll laugh and cry and will be so, so happy for them at the end. *happy sigh*
