The Great Society Subway: A History of the… door Zachary M. Schrag
A must for anyone fascinated by the Washington Metro. Full history, details of design decisions, and even some mythbusting -- the lack of a Georgetown station was due to cost considerations, not neighborhood opposition.
I found it interesting, but I imagine it would only be interesting to those who have lived in DC or those extremely interested in city planning. Fortunately, I fit both criteria.
