I took a lunch break while doing homework and started this with the intention to put it down once I'd finished my small lunch. Well, that didn't happen, but I did enjoy how fast-paced and fun this was. I like the idea of people from Atlantis coming up to land for just one year and the frantic nature of that deadline is reflected in this book.

Though this seems almost like a children's graphic novel, some of the creepy details mean I would more likely recommend this to young adults. There's a creepy lady who eats hearts. It was quite a shocking start.… (meer)

The concept of this book was different from the books I've read, so I enjoyed it. The art was cool. I didn't like a few things, like the instalove, Aryn's reaction to Adrian being a Mer and the fragile friendship between Aryn and Julia, but I'd still say it's a good read. Go for it if you are looking for a fun, light read with some interesting things and are okay with some eye rollable stuff.
