This is a fast-paced light-hearted book with clever twists and turns. Sherrer’s writing is clear, descriptive and engaged me from the beginning. I live in the Atlanta area and know Agnes Scott College, so I as intrigued front he outset. I can just imagine Lily in the library and the surrounding area. This as the first in the series that I read - now i need to read the rest!
Lydia Sherrer’s Lily Singer Adventures now has seven volumes plus a few interstitial novellas. It is an urban fantasy about Lily, a young wizard, and Sebastian, a witch. The wizards in this world have inborn magical talent. Witches must study magic and often know more than they can practice. I was expecting more zip from the first volume of a series of this length. The story is told in a workmanlike manner but with nothing much to distinguish it. 3 Stars.

Each part was good but I honestly only remember the first part...
Apparently each part of the story introduces characters for the future books.
I powered through the book because I listened to the audiobook while I was doing chores and walking and wanted to finish it.
I'm going to have to re listen to this one though before I move on to the next book in the series and will update my review at that time.… (meer)
