Nonetheless, the overall world-building is solid, and once the reader becomes accustomed to the game mechanics, they add an intriguing layer to the story.

the second volume of the series ( book 4-6) are not my favorite. On earth Jason definitely missses his supporting team. Now he is just omnipotent and not funny anymore. A know-it-all with an attitude. Was okay to read but also the whole astral-spaces mambo jambo was not interesting for me and the chapter where he drunkenly killed someone and found it funny because she would come back was not funny for me at all.
At least i peeked into the future on Royal Road and after book 6 the series came back to the old strength i really liked about it.… (meer)
