2789. Blood Royal: The Illustrious House of Hanover, by Christopher Sinclair-Stevenson (read 9 Oct 1995) This is a 1980 book which discusses things about the first four kings of England named George. It is a fluff book, but is based on decent research. It tells of George I incarcerating his wife because of her affair with Philip von Konigsmarck; George II's detestation of his eldest son, Frederick (father of George III); George III's 15 children and his illness; a humorous account of George IV's trip to Scotland in 1821; an account regarding Beau Brummel, who died in 1840; and a chapter on the Pavilion at Brighton, built by George IV's order and apparently still existing.
