Wade Smith

This picture book tells the story of Smitty and his determination to play football. As the story unfolds, Smitty learns that he must remain focused on his school work if he wants to play football. This book can be used to teach middle school students the importance of being a student-athlete. It can be tied to the TEKS through ELA by having students to explore autobiographies.
