This was...not good.I cant belive this has so good ratings.

An evil fallen god wants to take over the world. But he cant go there because of spells and whatnot. So he gets a human woman pregnant, cuts her baby out of her when shes in labor and hes got a son. Hes named Bane and raised and tortured to be ...well the worst he can be so he can one day take over the world for his dear father. (im joking he hates his father and everything else)

Some group of magical women, learns of evil gods plan and decideds to come up with a counterplan. In form of a...girl. Who is kind of special because shes so innocent and good. Hmm those healers werent too bright I guess.

They send off the dumb unsuspecting (TSTL) Mirra out into the forest right in the path of the demon army. Where surprise surprise she is taken captive and soon to be eaten and/or raped. But Bane takes an interest in her because she CANT HATE HIM.No matter how many horrible things he does in front of her.

Also bad writing.

This was the point where if this had been a paper copy would have hit the wall. Literally. But since I read it on my computer that was not an option.

Stay away. Well at least it was free.

I enjoyed this series overall, but had begun to feel it was becoming more than a bit repetitious. This last book, however, justified my holding on through volumes four and five. A lovely end to an often bitter tale.

Classic fantasy, knights/mages & the like meet a cyborg brought to their planet by a spacefarer. This book was awful. The MC was a whining, annoying, spoiled brat of a queen. And, the poor cyborg didn't deserve her AT ALL, he was an okay guy. The only reason this got the extra star was because the editing (surprisingly, given the crapness of the book) was fine. Bad editing is pet peeve of mine...

It's too bad, really. I think the idea of the story itself held promise.

Horrible. I will not read on, and I can't say I recommend it to anyone...at all.… (meer)

I picked this up as a free read and, if poor formatting and sometimes odd use of words doesn't bother you, it's a fair story filled with action and intrigue. Blade, the assassin, performs a task for young Queen Minna, who not only rewards him generously, but decides—for reasons only she knows—to trust him and his judgment. Period. Minna is confidant and assertive, and also occasionally foolish, which lends a sense of humanness to an otherwise too-perfect character. Blade, in spite of the anger and lack of faith he harbors, proves to be surprisingly charismatic as well as talented. Even so, we learn too much of them through telling rather than showing, and the characters suffer for it.

The plot is straightforward and fast-paced, right up to a very abrupt, cliff-hanger ending, which was no ending at all.
