A nice little collection of beer recipes. The book is enhanced by some commentary from the authors about some of the recipes and some quotes from famous folks about beer and drinking that compliment the book well. The book goes over recipes you can use with major types of beer (lager, stout, porter, etc.). There are, as the title says, 50 recipes in the book that vary in level of complexity. Some can be made with fairly easy-to-find beers (say, Pabst Blue Ribbon), but others do require some high end brands or brands that may only be available regionally. If not high end beer, then some recipes do require some fairly difficult-to-get or uncommon ingredients; in other words, unless you have a very well stocked bar in your home, it would probably be a little expensive to replicate some of the recipes. Anyhow, a nice book to look at. Out of the whole thing, maybe two or three recipes can be made with ease. The rest, not so much.… (meer)
