This book is a fun one for toddlers! It’s a playful picture book that encourages toddlers to guess what animal is on each page with the only clue being their tail and a hint of where they live. A fun guessing game of a book! I love it when books are interactive – as it provides a great gateway into lifelong reading!”

Summary:
This book gives the basic step by step instructions on how construction workers build a building. From the foundation to the finishing touches. It also has a bunch of information tabs to label everything they are using.

Personal Reaction:
This book is definitely very informational. Every page gives a description of what is going on. I like the way the book labels almost everything that you see on the page. You get an idea of what different things are actually called and what they actually use to make a building. I know children love books like these!

Classroom Extension Ideas:
1) This book would be great if a teacher was doing a unit on building or construction, even with math. It gives basic instructions for building. The class would tell the teacher what they think might come next, and even count all the different tools.
2) This book could also be used for the student to do their own building project. They could be given materials and follow the steps in this book.
