- Speculative Fiction author JC De La Torre was born on September 4th, 1973 in Tampa, Florida. Author of the critically acclaimed underground success Ancient Rising, De La Torre has a special relationship with his fans, whom the author says he "loves dearly", and makes himself available to them via his website and email.
De La Torre has a passionate interest in Speculative fiction - including Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror, the Occult, Alternative History, and strange, amazing worlds. His writing will include all of these sub-genres and other interesting excursions. De La Torre also has a keen love for sports including american football (both professional and collegiate), NHL hockey, Major League Baseball, and college basketball.
De La Torre currently resides in Wesley Chapel, Florida with his loving wife Rita, their new Yorkshire Terrier, Lestat (aka Mr. Poopenstein) and their two cats, Marius (aka Blackie) and Artemis (aka Arty). Rita and JC were married on Novemeber 17, 2001 and in 2006 Rita completed her own work of Fantasy fiction, Dark Dragon, which should be re-released soon.

This was an ok book in my opinion. The stories were mostly interesting.
Myself, I prefer a novel format for reading a story, but it was ok.

Already th introduction made me laught, with its funny style it made me curious about the rest. I loved most of the stories and didn't mind some but all in all this book is great!
Looking forward to read the next short stories book from this writer!

I will say that I enjoyed reading a sampling of stories from the different genres. It kept me interested, but I will admit, I don't read story after story - but read one here and there.
The stories themselves were entertaining, however some seemed to end abruptly. The one that first comes to mind is "Reality". It moved right along until the end, when it seemed liked the author had been interrupted and someone else stepped in and quickly finished it. The flow was lost, and it was truly a disappointment.
The stories were entertaining and a very light read, but be warned - there are many grammatical errors.… (meer)

These different alien races pepper the comic allowing plenty of imagination from the artist who delivers the artwork reasonably well although it a bit too colourful for my taste. The plot is a bit too heavy on detail and complicated names.
Recommended to all lovers of science fiction superhero comics.
