Whenever Our Eyes Meet...: A Women's Love Anthology door Ascii Media Works
Worst manga I've ever read. Very shallow and bland.
I have to go with this rating because between the different stories, my opinion swung wildly between poles. They're all nicely drawn and told, but, to be frank, I'm put off by romanticized sexual assault, whether or not the victim turns out to be into it (eventually) or not. It's not cute or funny; it's assault, full stop. Despite the fact that the non-rapey stories are on the sweet side, I therefore cannot recommend this book in total to anyone.
A game developer is sexually harassed by her mentor, but it's okay because it turns out she likes her mentor that way. Hrm.
An even bigger concern: her mentor's boss is aware of the situation and addresses it by making the mentor her direct supervisor. I want to think this is an outrageous fiction, but my gut tells me good ol' boys are doing this sort wingman crap every day in the real world, and that the only fiction is that in this book everyone involved is female.
The book of course just sidesteps controversy and presents it all as a bland, fuzzy-wuzzy romance.… (meer)

This anthology of short stories about workplace romances between mostly femme office ladies is a bit predictable, sappy and cutesy, but it still managed to put a little lift in my day.
