Korte biografie: Jason Vail is a writer of historical fiction and a martial artist who blends rich historical detail with realistic martial action. His martial arts career includes training in karate, jujutsu, judo, boxing, wrestling and mixed martial arts. Since 2001, he has been a student of historical European martial arts and is an avid longsword and backsword/broadsword fencer. However, his primary focus has been in reviving the dagger combat techniques found in the European fighting manuals dating back to 1409 not only because of their historical interest but also because of their usefulness in modern self-defense. The Wayward Apprentice (Stephen Attebrook Mysteries… door Jason Vail

Its September 1262 and Sir Stephen Attebrook and just been appointed as deputy coroner for Ludlow, a town in Herefordshire. When he is required with his clerk Gilbert Wistwode to investigate his first death - that of Patrick Carter.
I liked the main character of Attebrook, and the other players which help him, and its a good mystery. As there is a new book to the series I have decided to re-read all of the other books first

Baynard's List (Stephen Attebrook Mysteries #2) door Jason Vail

It is now October 1262 and the list of spies for King and his rival Montfort, which was once held by King Henry's master spy in the area - Baynard - who had been recently murdered has gone missing.
By persuasion, from his former master, the crown justice Ademar de Valence - Attebrook has been forced to find the list.
Enjoyable re-read of the story and I continue to like the characters.

A Dreadful Penance (Stephen Attebrook Mysteries #3) door Jason Vail

November 1262, and Attebrook and Gilbert are sent to Clun to discover the murderer of a monk, during a time of unrest along the Marshes.
A re-read of this book, where I like the characters in this series and enjoyed this tale
