very good. interesting characters. not particularly well educated but strong
½A collection of short stories by a Canadian poet and author who died in her thirties. Each story is a well-polished gem and leaves the reader with the same feeling of satisfaction as a good novel. I had lent my copy years ago and had to track down my replacement copy because I wanted a permanent copy for my collection.
One of my favourite poets, writing about everyday experiences with working and family life. She died early, of breast cancer, and is sorely missed.
