What a wild ride. This memoir covers a lot of ground, literally and emotionally. Given the heavy emphasis on Sonny, the author’s father, and his (and they author's) love of cars in the beginning, I was a bit surprised that that didn’t factor more into the conclusion. However, as the author points out, this story was more about the ride than the destination. At times this felt a bit disjointed and rambling, but overall it was an engaging reminisce from start to finish.
