A beautifully-written story, in a well-imagined world. The inhabitants may not be human, but their political and cultural conflicts are so familiar to us all the same. And the solution, as in our own world, isn't easy. This book also contains one of the most genuine and simply satisfying human romantic relationships that I've ever read anywhere.
