A person who likes local southeastern PA lore, baseball and the Phllies will get a kick out of this. It's the first good writeup I have seen about how Johnny Callison handled playing the right field wall in Connie Mack! It was a rather intimate park. A bunch of us would go to a twinight double header with our cooler and hoagies and would camp out right behind 3rd base as those seats became general admission in those games. You were right on top of the action. . . but then that was back in 1964. . . oh brother . . . that is ancient history!… (meer)
