Four children visit Mr. Barsin's Toy Emporium to find imaginary friends. The twist: Mr. Barsin doesn't ask for money in return for the imaginary friends...but something else. The author does an amazing job at creating a fun world where imaginary friends are real. The story follows the four children, each with a unique situation and personality. Fast-paced and magical, this book is full of fun and adventure.

This is another wonderful story by Lois Wickstrom! Holding Up the Sky is a great story that helps children understand difficult subjects like bullying, inclusion, making peace with those you may not agree with, etc. The tale is told in such a way that it's interesting to kids and should hold their attention while also delivering an important message. The illustrations were artistic and easy to follow as well. This is a great story for kids of various school ages!

I seriously loved this story. Little sister is blind so big sister is describing what a monster would look like. The descriptions are vivid and the colors in the illustrations are my favorite which makes this my favorite book by this author yet. The ending will grip your emotions and just melt your heart like the Grinch’s. Ooh, such a sweet and cute story. I look forward to new stories from this author.

Oh my goodness, I loved this story with it’s teaching about the conehead flowers. I did think the wolf vomiting was a touch ick, but if you drink the right mix of tea, it will cause vomiting. In this case, it rescued grandma. Looking at fingerprints to find out that the wolf was grandma was an exciting addition. We actually went down the rabbit hole with this one and did our own finger prints. It made for a fun discussion about them. So much to learn. This was a fun story that taught about the flowers, and tea. It also taught about rescuing grandma and taking care of her. All wonderful lessons and values to learn. Another wonderful story for storytime.… (meer)
