Stefan Wiechecki (1896–1979)

I was a bit disappointed with this book, because it seemed quite stale - the author used a lot of his older stories in this collection and I already knew a lot of them. Still, they were funny as always and there were some new ones, too. I'm sure I would enjoy this book much more if I didn't read the previous collections.

A collection of funny short stories written in 1950s - very outdated, describing the world, that doesn't exist any longer. For me it's a perfect comfort read, I love this author and reading these stories is always a joy.

It was the first book by this author I've ever read. I was fourteen then and I could hardly understand anything, it was so difficult, old and strange. But I was stubborn, so I read it all, and by the time I finished I was in love. Five stars.
