Parker Williams began to write as a teen, but never showed his work to anyone. As he grew older, he drifted away from writing, but his love of the written word moved him to reading. A chance encounter with an author changed the course of his life as she encouraged him to never give up on a dream. With the help of some amazing friends, he rediscovered the joy of writing, thanks to a community of writers who have become his family. Parker firmly believes in love, but is also of the opinion that anything worth having requires work and sacrifice (plus a little hurt and angst, too). Broken Warrior (CrossBow Protection Book 1) door K.C. Wells

I very rarely have the reaction I had to this book. The first half was all set up and context. A bit rough with a draft-like feel. Then they go out for supper and wham! A drunken over-the-top pass (that would never have been allowed in a top-scale restaurant like they were in) and they rush home to have sex? Not really following the drastic change in topic.
From then on I fought to keep reading. There would be sections where it was good. The flow was there and the sequencing made sense. Then it would take a jump and I would almost be cringing in anticipation of the horrid writing to come.
I found myself skim reading trying to just get through. I stopped and left it for a day and tried again. I finally managed to finish, but hated the entire end. It felt so fake and stilted it made me uncomfortable.
All I could think in the final half was, "No - Do not do this stupid thing!" or "How stupid can one person be?"
The plot was good, but the characters were just No! Nope, No way. They just do not work.… (meer)

On the Same Page (Secrets Book 4) door K.C. Wells

I loved these two characters of Heath & Xavier. K C Wells and Parker Williams know how to put together a romance, and that is 100% what this is. A true honest, romance. Xavier was a good honest man that tried to do the right thing...but his job, without him realizing it before it was too late, put everything that he loved and wanted in jeopardy. Heath was a bookstore owner that never thought he would find anyone to love or someone to love him...and then one night Xavier came to the shop door in the pouring rain and changed Heath's entire life...until Xaviers job threatened everything and everyone that Heath cared about. The thing about this series that I really, really liked was how characters from the other three books appear and how they work to help one another. Xavier has a huge conflict between his job and his relationship with Heath. He doesn't want to lose either one. I wish that he had been more open with Heath to begin with, but I think Xavier was himself, blindsided by the scope of the project that he was asked to work on. The question actually becomes which one will he choose? Sorry to see this series end, but I own the 4 books, so I'll be visiting with Heath and Xavier and the guys at Secrets again ad again.… (meer)
